Maintenance and Engineering Technician Apprenticeship (4 years)
This apprenticeship has two pathways: Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. This apprenticeship will give apprentices an opportunity to train as either an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter within Aggregate Industries. All practical training will be site based at one of the company’s UK operational sites. Apprentices will also receive further training at Stephenson College, Coalville in Leicestershire.
Plant Operations Apprenticeship
Plant Maintenance and Operations Apprentices learn how to operate various items of plant safely and efficiently. They also receive training in basic maintenance and checks on Civil Engineering Plant or Construction Plant. All practical training will be site based at one of the company’s UK operational sites. Apprentices will also receive further training at Stafford College, in Staffordshire.
Mobile and Static Plant Apprenticeship (18 months)
Apprentices on this programme will learn how to operate fixed or mobile heavy plant equipment efficiently and safely, while complying with current legislation, company policies and procedures. The role involves producing high quality products for a diverse range of end uses and related manufacture such as construction products, ready mixed concrete, mortar, asphalt, cement, precast or prestressed concrete products. Duties include carrying out preventative and routine maintenance inspections of equipment and housekeeping.
This apprenticeship in delivered on site by Mentor Training and also includes a number of workshops and one to one sessions throughout the eighteen months.
