Apprenticeships with Audi
There are over 120 Audi Centres in the UK, which means there is probably an Audi Apprenticeship available near you. There are Audi Apprenticeship roles available in a number of roles across the retail network’s service business.
Audi can trace its roots back to 1909 when August Horch founded Horch & Cie. Motorwagenwerk, and a second car manufacturing company called Audi Automobilwerke ten years later. In 1932, Audi and Horch merged with two other car German manufacturers: DKW and Wanderer. The new company, Auto Union AG, became the second-largest motor vehicle manufacturing group in Germany at the time.
Audi was the first brand to introduce four-wheel drive to the market in 1980. Its iconic “quattro” brand featured on a number of rally cars which dominated during the Group B rally era. Michele Mouton became the first woman to win a World Championship Rally in 1981, at the wheel of an Audi Quattro. All-wheel drive technology also granted rally legend Walter Rohl a 22 second advantage at Pikes Peak in 1987.
Audi also competed in the World Endurance Championship LMP1 prototype category for 18 years, from 1998-2016. The company achieved a staggering 13 victories at Le Mans 24hrs, as well as two overall titles. Audi is now focusing all its motor sport ambitions on Formula E, a single-seater racing series which a number of automotive manufacturers are using to test new electric propulsion and battery systems. These manufacturers anticipate that such technology will transfer over to the electric car of the future.
During an Audi Apprenticeship, you will learn about the brand’s quattro and electric/hybrid systems as these technologies develop.
In addition to the Audi Apprenticeship roles in the dealer network, Audi also offers Graduate Jobs at the company’s headquarters in Milton Keynes:
