The Iveco Trucks Apprenticeship programme offers a range of technical Apprenticeships in partnership with its UK dealership network. The company’s UK Headquarters is located in Basildon, Essex, and it manages the brand’s Sales, Marketing, and Finance activities. As a major player in the global transport world, Iveco is an international leader in the development, manufacture, marketing and servicing of a vast range of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles. It also manufactures passenger transport vehicles and special vehicles for defence, civil protection and specific missions like fire-fighting. The vehicles adopt the latest engineering technologies, applied to a comprehensive range of engines running on diesel and alternative fuels. These include natural gas (CNG) and bio-fuels, as well as hybrid technologies and electric engines.
With over 25,000 employees, Iveco is present in all five continents: 27 production plants located in 16 countries around the world manufacture vehicles utilising top level technologies developed in 6 research centres. Outside of Europe, the company operates in China, Russia, Australia and Latin America. An extensive after-sales network, in excess of 5000 service outlets in more than 160 countries, guarantees first-class technical support in all geographic areas where an Iveco vehicle operates.
Iveco’s product offering includes the Daily range of vans and chassis cabs which extends from 3.5 to 7 tonnes. The popular Eurocargo truck covers the 7.5 to 18 tonne range, and it is a benchmark commercial vehicle for this market segment.
The Stralis range of rigids and tractor units covers the heavy truck sector from 26 to 44 tonnes. The Stralis is Iveco’s medium and longhaul flagship range. Furthermore, the Stralis was the first heavy truck on the market to feature an automated transmission as standard.
And, finally, completing Iveco’s comprehensive line-up of commercial vehicles is the Trakker range. This is a robust range of vehicles for on- and off-road applications. It also benefits from a Stralis-style cab which offers the same degree of comfort for construction or quarry work as on-road models.
An Iveco Trucks Apprenticeship is a 3 year training programme, which includes on-the-job training while employed full-time at a local Iveco dealership.
