Apprenticeships with Jaguar Land Rover

The Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship scheme has a wide range of roles on offer. Since 2012, the Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship scheme has take on more than 750 apprentices. The company takes on anywhere from 150 to 200 Apprentices each year.

Furthermore, it invests more than £100m each year in the Jaguar Land Rover Academy. 25% of the Jaguar Land Rover employees are actively working towards an academic or professional qualification, from an Apprenticeship to a PhD. Since 2010, Jaguar Land Rover has also enabled more than 7,000 engineers to achieve a Master’s level qualification.

As a result, Jaguar Land Rover has been rated a “Top Employer for School and College Leavers”.

A Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship will be based at one of the company’s 6 UK sites:

Castle Bromwich: makes the Jaguar XK, XF and XJ, as well as F-Type. This site has a body and assembly plant, as well as a press shop and paint shop.

Gaydon: home to Land Rover design, as well as the UK’s largest hybrid engineering team. The site also has a range of test facilities, such as a track and off-road circuit.

Halewood: makes the Range Rover Evoque and the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The 300-acre site has both a full body and assembly plant.

Solihull: the Land Rover Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at produced at the Solihull site. It covers 300 acres and employs 6,000 people.

Whitley: Jaguar Land Rover’s global HQ, and home to Jaguar Design and business roles such as Sales, Marketing, PR, Legal, HR and Finance.

Wolverhampton: the Engine Manufacturing Centre opened in 2013 and now employs around 1,400 people. This is where Jaguar Land Rover’s new low-emission engines are made, both petrol and diesel.

Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship

The Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship scheme has a wide range of roles on offer. These include Digital and IT, Powertrain, Manufacturing, Engineering and Finance. A Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship can take up to 4 years to complete, depending on the role. These roles have a starting salary of at least £13,500 (Oct 2018).

The company also offers some Degree Level Apprenticeships for students with A Levels as well as GCSEs. A Degree Level Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship can take up to 6 years to complete. These roles have a starting salary of at least £18,500 (Oct 2018).

Or, you could apply for a Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship with your local dealer. There are more than 150 dealers across the UK which offer roles in Sales, Service and Parts. It takes 2 or 3 years to complete the training, depending on the role. You will be employed full-time at a local Jaguar Land Rover Dealer.

The Jaguar Land Rover Apprenticeship scheme opens in October.

The Dealer Apprenticeship scheme opens in March.
