The Sheet Metal Division is the original ‘roots’ of Premier Group. Specialising in sheet metal work, the highly skilled work force are experts in prototype manufacture, press tool design, polystyrene patterns, press tool manufacture, press shop (up to 680 ton) and 5-axis laser. Niche Vehicle Production
Premier Group are experts in prototype and low volume vehicle production – from initial concept visualisation, design and advanced engineering to manufacturing, integrity testing, powertrain performance and trim & final assembly. The company can offer the following services for Niche Vehicle Production:
Tailored Design: Premier Group’s tailored design studio not only specialises in CATIA, but also offers a 3D visualisation suite and clay modelling capabilities.
Advanced Engineering: Disciplines include vehicle packaging validation, component design, manufacturing feasibility via press simulation, design and manufacture of press tools, CNC programming and Polystyrene pattern manufacture, as well as rapid prototypes via 3D printing for small component validation and scaled mock up.

The company currently has 28 apprentices are currently on its apprenticeship programme, which is considered crucial to the continued growth and long-term development of the company.
During the four-year programme, candidates are supported by assessors from various local training providers, such as The Midland Group Training Services, Henley College, Coventry University, Warwick University and Coventry & Warwickshire Training.
