Apprenticeships with Siemens

There are a wide range of Siemens Apprenticeship roles at various locations all across the UK. Siemens currently employs 500 Apprentices out of a total workforce of more than 15,000 people in the UK. The Siemens Apprenticeship programme currently recruits more than 150 apprentices each year, and this number is rising each year.

As an apprentice, your role will be as diverse as the things Siemens make. In the UK alone, the company manufactures products such as industrial gas turbines, traffic lights and train radios. The company also helps produce cleaner energy through wind turbines and keeping rail networks running smoothly with more efficient trains.

Finance & Commercial Academy

The Siemens UK Finance & Commercial Academy is rotational programme that runs nationwide in locations such as Frimley, Manchester, Lincoln, Poole and Newcastle. It’s a great alternative to university that’ll see you travelling around the country, developing your skills and earning a salary at the same time.

Over the three years, you’ll work towards a professional qualification while gaining hands-on experience in one of the biggest companies in the world. You will study for the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting. By the time you leave the programme, you’ll be close to being fully qualified.

The Finance & Commercial Academy tends to recruit 5-10 people per year, although this can vary according to the current business needs.

Education Requirements for Siemens

The Education Requirements for a Siemens Apprenticeship vary according to the specific role for which you are applying:

Advanced apprenticeship (3-4 years)

  • 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above* including Maths, English and Science.

Higher apprenticeship (2-4 years)

  • BTEC National Certificate / A Levels in a relevant discipline.

Finance & Commercial Academy:

  • 3 C grades at A Level or equivalent, as well as 3 GCSEs grade C or above in Maths, English and ideally, IT.
When can I apply for an apprenticeship at Siemens?

The Siemens Apprenticeship programme typically recruits between January and May. However, candidates should check the company’s website because it sometimes offers roles at other times of the year.
