Unipart Rail are a logistics company who work with UK and international Rail companies. The company operates in two key sectors: Rail Infrastructure, and Traction and Rolling Stock.

Rail Infrastructure:
Unipart Rail has extensive experience in Signalling, Level Crossings, P-way, Overhead line, Cable, as well as other infrastructure disciplines. The company’s experience, coupled with a desire to find solutions, means it is always developing new approaches for its partners. For example, the OLE Assembly and Logistics Service, or the Offsite Factory for Level Crossings. These both reduce installation time and complexity, as well as minimising stocking and requirements for trackside stores.

Traction and Rolling Stock:
Unipart Rail offers a single source for all the rail components and products required for maintenance or refurbishment work on the rail network. This reduces the number of different deliveries coming to site and the order processing is also much simpler. The range of products for Traction and Rolling Stock includes interior and exterior components, consumable components, and heavy engineering, as well as workshop products.

Unipart Rail is also supported by several divisions, each of which specialises in a particular field:

Unipart Dorman: the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of innovative Rail and Road products. These include LED signals and solutions for all aspects of Railway Signalling, Traffic Management solutions and Hazard Warning lamps, as well as Vehicle Activated Signs.

Park Signalling: delivers engineered solutions for railway signalling and telecommunications.

UGL Unipart: a joint venture which combines UGL’s intimate knowledge of Sydney’s passenger rolling stock, Unipart Rail’s international expertise in logistic and supply chain, as well as MTR Corporation’s knowledge on maximising rolling stock assets to their full potential.

LUR: a one-stop for bogie and wheelset overhaul, from the manufacture of the steel through to the delivery of the bogie to a customer’s depot.

Instrumentel: a provider of innovative technology and engineering solutions around a diagnostic/digital platform offering improved performance capability and added value to its customers. Its core business today is predominantly in the rail sector but it also provides engine telemetry monitoring for Formula 1.

Samuel James Engineering: specialises in the design and manufacture of control panel power products for the Rail industry. Furthermore, their design capability and expertise in manufacturing products that provide power to rail signals perfectly complements Unipart Rail’s existing Infrastructure products and services portfolio.

Key Fasteners: offers a fully traceable supply chain solution for consumables and fasteners for the Rail, Renewables, Medical as well as General Manufacturing sectors.
