Apprenticeships with Whitby Morrison
The Whitby Morrison Apprenticeships programme is truly unique. This is because Whitby Morrison have been the world’s leading manufacturers of Ice Cream Vans for nearly 60 years. Founded by Bryan Whitby in 1962, the company has a purpose-built factory in Cheshire, from where it produces bespoke ice cream vans and associated vehicles for the global market.
Ice cream vans have been a British institution since the early 20th century. Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Vans are recognised as the finest products of their kind in the world. Successfully operating in over 60 countries, these vehicles are built to perform in all climates and conditions.
90% of Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Vans use the Mercedes Sprinter as the base vehicle. However, there are opportunities to use the Ford Transit, VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato and Chevrolet Express too.
Whitby Morrison manufactures Ice Cream Vans on brand new unregistered chassis cabs which meet European Whole Vehicle Type Approval. This means the vehicle starts life exactly as it should: a Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van. However, clients can also supply their own panel van for subsequent conversion. In this scenario, the conversion process remains the same, ensuring unrivalled styling and performance.
Furthermore, the company also supplies pre-owned ice cream vans, as well ice cream trailers, tricycles and carts.
