Body Repair Apprenticeship – Classic Cars

Classic Motor Cars

Classic Motor Cars in Shropshire restores classic cars from brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lancia and many more. There are often more than 50 cars in the workshop for service, upgrades, repairs, repaints, or restoration.

At Classic Motor Cars, you will learn the following skills:

  • Interior trim: leather and woodwork
  • Electrics: rewiring electric systems
  • Bodywork: panel beating, using an English wheel as well as other metalwork skills
  • Paintwork: body prep, painting and final finishing
  • Mechanics: engine rebuild, gearbox, suspension and brakes.

Heritage Skills Academy (HSA)

The HSA is based at Bicester Heritage. Its aim is to preserve the skills needed to maintain and restore our Engineering heritage across a range of sectors. These include veteran and vintage cars, as well as classic cars. You may also learn skills which are needed to service and repair planes, buses, coaches, trucks, marine and military vehicles, motor cycles, and steam engines.
