The Defence Electronics and Components Agency Apprenticeship scheme is an excellent opportunity to join the organisation at a time of exciting change and growth. This is because DECA holds the contract for the global repair hub for the UK’s new fighter jet, the F-35. This means that DECA will provide the repair, maintenance, overhaul and upgrade of electronic and electrical components, fuel, mechanical and hydraulic systems and ejection seats for this iconic fighter aircraft.

In 2018, the Defence Electronics and Components Agency Apprenticeship programme had the following roles available: Technical Apprenticeship.

In Year 1, candidates attend college full time. They work towards a Foundation Engineering Apprenticeship and a NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations. The Year 2 programme is based at DECA with college day release. Candidates work towards a BTEC National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. While in Year 3, candidates are based full time at DECA, working towards a NVQ Level 3 in Engineering based on specific trade requirement of apprentice.

Foreign & Commonwealth Office

There are a wide range of Foreign and Commonwealth Office Apprenticeship roles available in a variety of departments and locations. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Apprenticeship programme is managed by FCO Services, part of the FCO. Apprenticeships are available in either Security & Property, Technology Services, or Business Services.

For example: Technical Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, Finance, Security Design Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
