Examples of some AECOM Graduate Jobs include:

Environmental Acoustics
With well over a hundred technical staff, AECOM’s Acoustic Group is among the largest acoustics practices in the world. The division has offices in the UK and Ireland, continental Europe, Australia, America, Canada, the Middle East and Far East. It advises clients on building, environmental and occupational acoustics, noise mapping, vibration, audio-visual design and auralisation. Recent and current clients include High Speed 2, Rolls-Royce, DEFRA, Nestlé and Shell. Other projects include providing advice to Defra on Noise and Nuisance, or building acoustics for the Battersea Power Station redevelopment. AECOM analysed the acoustic design of BBC studios, as well as the design and monitoring for the Thames Tideway Tunnel.

Geographical Information Systems
This role supports a range of projects for both internal and external clients mainly within AECOM’s Water Consulting business. This currently includes support to high profile major transport and infrastructure schemes, conventional and renewable power developments, as well as other industrial and commercial development projects.

Mechanical Engineering
The quality of a building’s internal environment plays a significant role in determining its fitness for the purpose for which it was designed. The mechanical engineer must be fully conversant with modern control technology, as well as energy efficient heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. However, this process actually starts by working with the architect to ensure the building’s form is sufficiently thermally efficient to enable energy targets to be met or exceeded.

Electrical Engineering
AECOM delivers expert thinking to drive efficient solutions for High and Low voltage power supplies, utilities, standby generation, UPS, resilient systems, small power, fire alarms, security, lighting and power. Consequently, AECOM electrical enginners pay particular attention to critical systems and resilience levels.

Public / Environmental Health Engineering
Water is life. AECOM delivers energy and water solutions for hot and cold water systems, solar thermal, sprinklers, drainage systems, water treatment, as well as fire suppression and irrigation systems. The company also provides sophisticated water reclaim and recycling systems for optimum water conservation and Sustainable Drainage Solutions and Water Sensitive Urban Design.
