Graduate Jobs with Arriva

There are a range of Arriva Graduate Jobs available at locations all across the UK. Arriva is one of the largest providers of passenger transport in Europe, employing around 60,000 people and delivering more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries each year. Arriva is part of Deutsche Bahn and is responsible for DB’s regional passenger transport services outside Germany.
As an Arriva Graduate, you will complete an 18-month programme which is designed to attract and develop future leaders. During the programme, you will complete placements in different business areas and work alongside experienced leaders. These will give you a unique insight into Arriva’s business and the skills you need to excel within it.
Arriva’s vast international business offers many opportunities across a number of locations and it is possible that one of these placements could be based in one of the 14 European countries that Arriva operates in. You will attend a set of international graduate events and training modules where you will gain knowledge about Arriva’s operations, strategy and business model.
In addition, you will meet Arriva’s senior managers and Graduates from other countries. As well as your main assignments, you will be working on a project together with other Arriva Graduates. You will be carefully supported by your mentor and will become part of an international Graduate network.
Engineering Graduate
Working as an Engineering Graduate you will be able to experience different aspects of the business. This will include spending time on the shop floor, repairing buses, as well as learning how to supervise the workshop. You will be expected to manage budgets, allocate and plan work, while also dealing with external and internal stakeholders. There will also be additional technical training, with the opportunity to work towards Charted Engineering status.
Operations Graduate
The Operations Graduate programme is comprehensive and it will teach you everything you need to know about the bus transport industry. You will learn how to manage staff and a bus depot, deal with special projects and budgets, work alongside bus drivers, engineers and senior leaders. In addition, you will even learn how to drive a bus.
Arriva also offers a range of internships for undergraduates to learn more about the company prior to applying for the Arriva Graduate Jobs programme. Internships can range from a summer placement to a full year in industry.

Education Requirements for Arriva
The Education Requirements for the Arriva Graduate Jobs scheme is as follows:
- 2:1 undergraduate degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or automotive but not essential
Arriva Graduate Jobs candidates should also have English language skills to business standard required, while fluency in one other language is an advantage.
When can I apply for a Graduate Job at Arriva
The Arriva Graduate Jobs programme opens for applications at the beginning of the year, with closing dates in mid-April depending on the role.
