Graduate Jobs with BMW
There are a range of BMW Graduate Jobs available in the UK. These are either with the brand’s Sales and Marketing subsidiary in Farnborough, or at its engine manufacturing site in the West Midlands. The UK is BMW’s fourth largest sales market worldwide. It is also the only country where all three brands (BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce) have production manufacturing operations.
The BMW Hams Hall engine plant first opened in 2001. It has an outstanding reputation for producing small, fuel-efficient, low emission engines for a variety of BMW and MINI models. Recent investment ensures the site remains state-of-the-art and able to accommodate the demands of a growing brand. The BMW Hams Hall plant plays an increasing and important role in the BMW Group’s global production network.
The BMW Hams Hall engine plant has produced over four million engines since it opened. The latest generation of three and four cylinder engines are produced on brand-new facilities, including engines for MINI. Furthermore, the Hams Hall plant produces engines for BMW’s latest hybrid vehicles: the i8 hybrid sports car and the 225xe. The plant has one of the most modern and advanced, high-tech machining halls in the industry. The production capability for machining engine components has trebled with supply extended to other BMW engine plants in the network and output now exceeding one million parts per year.
The BMW Group also operates a Vehicle Distribution Centre in Thorne, near Doncaster, a Regional Parts Distribution Centre in Northampton, and a Financial Services division in Farnborough. Through its Alphabet GB Ltd subsidiary, BMW also manages a fleet of over 150,000 vehicles which are supplied as company vehicles to several international brands.
In addition to a wide range of cars, BMW also manages the “BMW Motorrad” brand for motorbikes. There are 39 BMW Motorrad outlets across the country. BMW Motorrad was voted ‘Best Motorcycle Brand’ in the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 RiDER Power surveys – an influential poll of owners by RiDE magazine. BMW Motorrad also organises and runs worldwide riding tours, rider training from novice to advanced and an off-road riding school, through its activities program – World of BMW.
In total, BMW Group employs over 8,000 people across all its various office and manufacturing sites throughout the UK.
In addition to the BMW Graduate Jobs summarised below, the company also offers a range of Apprenticeships at the BMW Hams Hall Engine Plant and across the BMW Dealership network:
