Graduate Jobs with Direct Line Group
The Direct Line Graduate Jobs programme offers roles in several different business functions. The company represents 5 individual brands which each offer market leading insurance products and services. These include: Direct Line Insurance, Churchill Insurance, Privilege Insurance, Green Flag Roadside Assistance, as well as a brokerage, NIG Insurance.
The insurance industry is a real UK success story. It is the largest in Europe and the third biggest in the world, employing over 100,000 people. The insurance industry also supports an additional 200,000 jobs in related services. As a result, the size and vibrancy of the UK insurance sector means it offers a host of rewarding careers around the country.
Direct Line Group’s insurance apprenticeships are your gateway to a career with Britain’s leading personal motor and home insurer. The company employs approximately 11,000 people around the UK. Across its family of brands, Direct Line Group has a 14% share in the UK personal motor market, in addition to a 17% share of the UK home insurance market.
The Graduate Programme is at the heart of the Direct Line Group’s investment into the next generation of DLG talent. Through it, you’ll gain knowledge and experience to build your understanding of the broader business, customers and the industry. You’ll establish a core set of transferable skills and optional qualifications that give you the best career grounding you could hope for.
All Direct Line Graduate Jobs are a three-year rotational programme based across the UK that will see you develop to become a future leader of the business. You will also get involved with a range of fast-paced projects and work streams that have direct impact on Direct Line Group customers. Furthermore, by combining soft skills training, cohort learning, ‘on the job’ training and professional development, you’ll work within a number of attractive roles to stretch and challenge you.
You’ll undertake four rotations over the three years, including at least one front-line operational placement. In your first year you will attend a series of intense workshops that will provide you with a DLG toolkit of skills to ensure your rotations are a success. And once you’ve finished your rotations, and at the end of your third year on the programme, you will move into your permanent team and role.
Some of Direct Line Group’s largest offices are in Bromley and Leeds and the majority of the Direct Line Graduate Jobs will be in one of these two locations.
