Graduate Jobs with Instron

Instron offers a range of Engineering and Business/Commercial Apprenticeships at its European Headquarters in High Wycombe.

As a Graduate Trainee, you will follow a structured training and development programme for up to two years. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, gain experience in a wide variety of disciplines and benefit from continual support, training and mentoring throughout the programme.

Working at Instron, you will be part of a global brand with the opportunity to influence and define your own future within a worldwide organisation. Your career can take any shape and path. The company spans across the world and offers a diverse range of career opportunities – the possibilities are limitless.

The Instron Graduate Programme is designed for technical graduates who know they want to pursue a technical career but want the flexibility in a graduate training programme where they can try out several different technical roles. The programme has three stages:

Core Induction (2 weeks)
You will be introduced to your mentor, be trained in the company’s products, learn about its business philosophies and spend some time on the science behind what the company does.

Business Orientation (approx. 3 months)
You will spend time in core parts of the Instron business, meeting people and experiencing “a day in the life of…” or getting an overview of a specific part of the business. Together with some other planned learning experiences, this stage will help you to piece together how all the different parts of Instron’s business fit and work together.

Assignments (up to 18 months)
You will have the opportunity to choose up to three assignments in different areas of the Instron business. This gives you the opportunity to go back to a part of the business that really interested you in Stage 2 and spend more time there, trying out life in that part of the business.
