Bentley Motor Museum

Bentley Motor Museum contains an unique collection of cars, motorcycles and vehicles. Spanning over 100 years of road transport history, most of the exhibits are privately owned and change regularly providing fresh interest for your visit.

The Bentley Motor Museum is part of the Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum, situated just outside Lewes in a peaceful corner of East Sussex. Despite the name, the Bentley Motor Museum has no association with Bentley Motor Cars.

You can easily spend a whole day relaxing in these beautiful surroundings, with more than 90 acres to explore. In addition to the Bentley Motor Museum, there is also a wildfowl reserve, living willow tunnels, woods with replica round houses, and an adventure playground. Furthermore, the miniature railway and café are popular highlights, as are the craft workshops, and miniature Shetland ponies.

There are also a number of special events each year at the Bentley Motor Museum. These include a Summer Craft Fair in mid-June, the Bentley Woodfair in mid-September and the Christmas Craft Fair at the end of November. Please see the museum’s website for specific dates of these events each year.

The Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum also has its own Miniature Railway. Established in 1985, Bentley Miniature Railway has developed into one of South East England’s hidden treasures. It comprises of a one mile of ground-level 7 1/4″ gauge miniature railway, with a variety of privately owned steam, internal combustion and electric powered locomotives.

All locomotives are either standard or narrow gauge profiles, and they haul public passenger carrying trains every weekend of the year. The Bentley Miniature Railway is built, maintained and operated by unpaid volunteers.

The Bentley Motor Musuem is open weekdays and weekends from March 25th to October, 10:00 – 17:00

There is also a Family Annual Season Ticket which costs £90.00.

Additional Information

Please note: The Bentley Motor Museum is unable to allow Dogs due to their zoo license.

Despite the name, the Museum is not connected with Bentley Motor Cars.
