IET Scholarships

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) offers a range of IET Scholarships, Awards and Bursaries every year. IET Awards are available for Apprentices and Undergraduates, as well as Postgraduate students across a wide variety of Engineering disciplines.

The IET is one of the world’s largest engineering institutions with more than 168,000 members in 150 countries. It is also the most multidisciplinary in order to reflect the increasingly diverse nature of engineering in the 21st century.

IET Awards reward and celebrate excellence and support emerging talent. The awards programme includes awards for individual excellence, research and innovation, scholarships, travel awards, prizes and competitions within the engineering and technology sector.

The current portfolio of awards includes the Diamond Jubilee scholarships, Engineering Horizons Bursary, Apprentice and Technician awards, Innovation Awards, the Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards, the Present around the World competition and the IET A F Harvey Engineering Research Prize.

Furthermore, the IET Awards and Scholarships programme helps the organisation to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community and support technological innovation. Panels and committees of the IET’s volunteers and partners assess entries for the IET Awards.

Finalists and winners also have the opportunity to receive their awards at prestigious ceremonies and other events. In addition, the IET publicise winners and finalists and provide many opportunities for them to get involved in networking events and ambassadorial roles to inspire the next generation.
